First, let me introduce myself!
Nice to meet you, I am Evelyn Chan, licensed massage therapist, dreamer and student.
I was born and raised in Brazil and have been in Florida since 2002.
Growing up I wasn’t sure what career I wanted to follow, all I knew was that I wanted to something I could help people… When I got my license as a Massage Therapist I found what had been missing in my life! Massage therapy is the path I’ve been looking for. There isn’t anything more gratifying than helping someone!
Through the magic of touch I can help many get rid of their aches and pains and feel better and rejuvenated.
But where does Better Body Spa comes from?
Even though I was happy being a massage therapist for a couple of years, the true fulfillment only came in when we decided to open Better Body Spa. Interesting fact is that it didn’t cross my mind to do this ever before! It was like the movie Inception, I was having a conversation with one of my clients, and he asked -very seriously- what I was going to do with my life, what plans did I have for myself. But you know, every now and then you have this kind of conversation with people, but that day something actually hit me, and I could get that conversation out of my head! So I started talking to a friend of mine, to my boyfriend, and suddenly we made a decision! We are going to open our own Spa!
One characteristic of my personality is that sometimes I either think too much and don’t do things, or I don’t think much at all and go for it! Sometimes this is a good thing, sometimes it is not. But in this case, it was the best decision I have ever made in my life!! It feels like this is what I always wanted, I just didn’t know! Between the conversation with the client, finding a place and taking the big step towards the future it was not event 3 months!!! Everything happened just so fast that we didn’t even had the time to share the big news with many people.
